Nova Forest Alliance
A Model Forest is working to find society's balance between economy and the environment.

The Nova Forest Alliance (NFA) is a partnership of landowners, researchers, industry, First Nations communities, environmentalists, educational institutions, forest community areas, forest professionals and government. As Partners, we are committed to finding sustainable solutions for our forest communities. By bringing together a diverse group of organizations, we ensure all stakeholders have a voice in the future of Nova Scotia and Price Edward Island forests.

Our Place in a National Network

The Nova Forest Alliance is part of Canada’s Model Forest Network. The Network was developed and continues to be supported by the Canadian Forest Service, a division of Natural Resources Canada. We are one of several model forests across the country, each working to facilitate collaborative decision-making that addresses challenges in forest communities. Together, we share information and foster technology transfer that helps promote sustainability throughout Canada and the world.
