Virtual Wood Yard
While many people use internet services, the Island's wood industry tends to rely on "word of mouth" to connect buyers and sellers. With support from the PEIMFNP, Wood Products P.E.I. is trying to create a Virtual Wood Yard where buyers and sellers can connect on-line. The Wood Yard will help local land owners and wood using businesses understand the range of wood products made in their area and enable local sellers and buyers to connect, thus benefitting the economic health of the region.
