Education for Sustainable Development Initiative
With support from Learning for a Sustainable Future, Environment Canada, and Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth, the PEI Model Forest Network Partnership Ltd. is working in cooperation with the PEI Department of Education and Early Childhood Development to establish an Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Working Group for the province of Prince Edward Island. The working group will be committed to foster and promote Education for Sustainable Development in PEI's formal, non-formal and informal education cultures. Through Education for Sustainable Development, the working group envisions Islanders integrating the principles, values and practices of sustainable development into their everyday activities to create a more sustainable future in terms of environmental integrity, economic viability and a just society for present and future generations.
